The face of advertising.

The Female Quotient tasked us with helping to raise women’s profiles by showing what women are up against in the digital world. We knew it would be sobering, but we didn’t realize how much.

We asked AI a common search question, “who are the most influential people in advertising today?” The answer was 5 men and 1 woman, even though the industry is comprised of 67.5% women and female CMO’s now outnumber men.

So what does this look like to the world? We enlisted the help of Sarofsky Productions and generative AI to combine the faces of the top candidates for an image that represents us all.

And to bring this image to the world, we plastered it all over NYC during Advertising week. Our image became the focal point of the FQ Equality Lounge with the pointed message of #raiseherprofile.

While there’s always more work to be done across all industries, our image is a reminder of how far we need to go until AI recognizes more women and starts to change what equality looks like.

This is the perfect example of why we are named 6, blending our own unique intuition with scientific data to put disruptive and thought provoking ideas out into the world.
